The company started in Reno NV, June of 1983. Initially it was named Custom Tops. It opened primarily as a Top lot, stocking over 300 camper shells or "Tops". Ordering truck loads of tops weekly grew Custom Tops to be the number one lot with LEER Truck Caps year after year. The name Custom Tops rolled all the way until September 1993 when it changed its name to CTA, short for Custom Truc Accessories. The company has stuck with the times and has evolved with the current trends of the automotive industry. Not just a top lot anymore CTA does everything from mobile navigation for any type of vehicle to luxury wheel and tire packages for cars and trucks alike.
