At Sage Ridge School, they care about the whole child. Their mission and pillars define and guide the Sage Ridge experience. They are Reno, Nevada’s only non-sectarian, coeducational, college preparatory day school and they provide their students with world-class educational opportunities. Sage Ridge School is a fully accredited member of the Northwest Association of Independent Schools (NWAIS) and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

In 1996, community leaders, parents, and educators came together with a vision to augment the area’s educational opportunities by providing the first college preparatory school serving the Truckee Meadows. Those founders set forth the following goals:

Challenge students through an integrated, core college prep curriculum
Generate excitement for learning
Foster self-discipline while nourishing self-confidence
Emphasize and incorporate sound ethical and moral values in all that it does
Encourage a sense of social responsibility
Serve a diverse student population
Provide adequate need-based financial assistance for qualified applicants
Offer a wide range of extra and co-curricular activities
Require a high standard of conduct
Prepare students for subsequent academic challenges of the most rigorous nature 
The School opened its doors in 1998 to an enrollment of 99 students in Grades 6-8. Later, a high school was added and in 2003 Sage Ridge School graduated its first class. The School now offers middle school and high school, Grades 4-12 with a present enrollment of 232 students. Our students’ experiences are guided by our Mission Statement…
